I called in an order for their chicken salad sandwich. By far it was the best I've ever eaten. Everything was fresh and tasty.
Delicious food! Great service! Love karaoke night 👏❤️
Chill spot/nice outside,check it out!🤘
It pretty good, typical bar/pub food. Food was extra fresh and hot, but kind of a long wait for a weekday for us.
Came here for the first time Friday night and was NOT disappointed. The steaks were amazing, great sides, and great drinks. we can't wait to come back. Very cute interior and located right in Pilot Mountain. guarantee you will love it.
The only way to describe this place is unique! Love that they took their time and stayed true to the original architecture. It's a must visit to enjoy the true charm of a small town bar and grill!
Just because they have a pleasant outside area I'd give this establishment 4 stars. There are very few in this area! The service was excellent, Jessica kept us very well provided with everything and was very kind. My BLT sandwich was very good, crunchy buttery bread, mayo, mostly crispy bacon, yummy, with grilled veggies, very tasty. My hubby's chicken philly was a bit dry and needed some onions/peppers in it. His fries were good. They have Red Oak beer, another plus. We enjoyed dessert, chocolate cake. Good for the people that love chocolate and sugar. Overall a pleasant experience.
Large portions, lots of flavor, friendly staff. I'm a very picky person.... I tend to be very critical of restaurants and this one was fantastic. Will be eating there again.
I showed up late for lunch, the place was fairly quiet with only a few tables with people. The sign at the door said seat yourself so I did. However then I waited for about twenty minutes before someone came to check on me. I ordered the chicken sandwich and fries in the recommendation of the waitress. The sandwich was quite messy and the chicken a little dry but flavorful. The French fries were not disappointing.
I’ve gotten take-out from here twice and ate there once and have enjoyed consistently excellent customer service and great food! The barbecue chicken was my favorite so far. Even the sides are top notch. It is located in historic Downtown Pilot Mountain in an old hardware store- complete with original shelves and rolling ladder (hence the name). It really hits the spot after sight seeing at Pilot Mountain or Hanging Rock. There is a bar, but all consuming patrons were quiet- not a bar atmosphere at all- perfect to bring the kids to. Our waitress was so affable and fun. I hope to return with my dog so we can enjoy their dog- friendly patio.
The service was great and the waitress, Kelsey was very friendly! We were in Pilot Mountain on an RV vacation and really enjoyed stopping at The Tilted Ladder for dinner. Very welcoming! Food was yummy too!
The food and service were great! We wanted to try so much but ended up with the triple app basket (teriyaki wings, tilted shrimp, and fried pickles), the bacon pimento cheeseburger with a house salad and ranch, and the Philly cheesesteak with buffalo fries. It was all perfect! Our server was genuine and sweet and never let our drinks empty. Everything came out at a great pace, too! My only regret was not getting more tilted shrimp! The breading and sauce are literally some of the best I have EVER had. Highly Recommend! (Not a local; came on vacation)
I have only been eating here for approximately 2 weeks and every meal I have tried has been fresh and delicious. Food so good I been twice a day for just about the whole 2 weeks, the service is great and the worker and customers are friendly. Support your locals!! Give tilted ladder a try and i don't mean "stand on a tilted ladder" literally but stop by, enjoy the music, food, drinks, and fun!!! P.S. while your at the tilted ladder slide over next door too "Puff109" (smokeable bud bar) and try out some treats or just to have a peaceful herbal blend of legal smokeable buds.. Enjoy!!!!
I ordered food tonight for the whole family, five adults and one child. We all loved it!!! Taco Tuesday is the bomb. Thanks Crystal!
This is a great place with great food I have enjoyed it both times I have been. It was quiet busy the first time i went, was a little later in the evening and they had a band playing but service was still exceptional
Just to get to the point, my first experience (and undoubtedly my last) was pretty bad. I was seated quickly, and my order was taken promptly as well. It was all downhill from there, though.I ordered Cajun Shrimp Alfredo with a side salad. The salad was palatable at best. The entree itself was not. The pasta was cooked to death. It was mushy. The Alfredo sauce offered little taste, and there was enough of it for several dishes of pasta, unbelievable. There were 5 small overcooked shrimp. Even the garlic bread was bad.My server was polite and offered to try and get me a discount, which I declined. The place was very slow too, so no excuse can be made for an overrun chef/ cook.It was much better when it was Soppers. I gave 2 stars for the polite attitude of the hostess and waitress. I would not give the food I received a single star. Its a shame too, as there are so few dining options in Pilot Mountain.
I have eaten at the ladder 3 times in 5 days. The food is absolutely delicious! Shoutout to Upchurch and crew, the food quality and quantity is outstanding.
Pros: the food was good for the price. Service was fast and accurate. Cons: the music was awful. Like bad late 90s awful. The atmosphere and ambiance is off the mark. I couldn't tell if the restaurant wanted to be a bar, a coffee shop, or a hometown diner. Overall not bad, but definitely needs a touch up if it's going to last.
